This snowy Christmas ornament created by Trish features a snowy stamped image sandwiched between 2 glass microscope slides.
Christmas in April? I know, this is either late or early...but I wanted to show off the ornament I received from Trish as a Christmas gift a couple of years ago. We made these at one of my Christmas stamp camps I had a few years ago & I must say I'm glad to receive one of these instead of making one! Trish stamped the snowflake image from the "Merry Minis" set onto Whisper White card stock in Night of Navy ink. Next, she colored in the flakes with blue markers. She sandwiched this piece, glued a silver cord loop to the back of it and a piece of DSP on the reverse side (to add some color) inbetween the 2 glass slides, wrapped Sticky strip around the edges to hold it all together and sprinkled on the chunky Silver glitter. Very festive indeed! I also see using this type of ornament for other holidays (Easter, Halloween, etc.) as a table centerpiece. Just take a bunch of decorative twigs that you can find in the craft store; for example black ones for Halloween; put them into a vase or another appropriately decorated container and hang a bunch of these ornaments to the twigs. Obviously, for Halloween I'd use black & orange glitters & cord and scary images of witches, bats, cats, etc. Stop by tomorrow to see the other side of this pretty ornament.
